Collaboration is an imperative in a world where the scale of our environmental challenges outsizes the capacity of any one team, organization, or community to solve them.
We need skilled guides who know how to design, implement, and enhance collaborative approaches to wise stewardship of our natural resources.
This course trains the next generation of facilitators and partnership coordinators to be those guides who want to:
Advance their practical skills as facilitators
Leverage resources, diverse perspectives and collective action within a team
Create alignment in multi-stakeholder groups around a common vision for change
Establish a strategic direction
Generate buy-in, work through conflict, and build consensus
Strengthen relationships
Heighten their ability to lead collaborative partnerships
Run better meetings
Participants can expect to:
Learn the four interlinked practices of collaborative leadership that lead to collective action
Understand how to apply these practices as a facilitator or coordinator of collaborative efforts
Gain experience designing facilitated sessions in a way that achieves inclusive participation
Develop leadership skills that will heighten their professional and personal success
